What does it mean to be a silent type in a loud world?
Silent Type imagined the kind of sonic debris left behind once the noise dies down and the crowds disperse; a resonant and melancholy collective sound in a space where all that is left are scattered remains, hopeful fragments, sustained chords and distant echoes. Part durational concert, part performance ritual, Silent Type investigated silence in modern culture. This new work marked the final in a trilogy of ‘quiet’ works by interdisciplinary sound artist Jason Sweeney.
