We want to talk games, game play, character, narrative arcs with you.
Whilst we are at it we may as well throw politics into the mix, over the little remembered 1980’s board game “POLECONOMY”.
Poleconomy: where each player is both tycoon and politician (think a cross between Alan Bond & Bob Hawke), buying and selling some of Australia’s biggest companies and advertising media (from the 1980’s). Players compete to acquire properties and investments through stylized economic and political activity.
This is the first of PADA’s 2018 Active Research Labs. An occasional series of intimate gatherings where we pose questions, have discussions whilst doing ‘something’. The sessions will be audio recorded to be mixed into PADA’s up and coming podcast series on art, culture and practice in Australia.
