Performance & Art Development Agency (PADA) is a new contemporary arts organisation in South Australia, founded by Emma Webb and Steve Mayhew in 2015. PADA is developing new artworks, initiatives, networks and public programs with multidisciplinary artists locally and across Australia.
PADA aims to work in partnership with artists and like-minded organisations to contribute to the contemporary arts culture and ecology in South Australia. Our programs are developmental, experimental, politically-engaged and nimble.
PADA is supported by Arts SA.
Performance & Art Development Agency has commissioned five projects in 2016. These new works are in development with PADA for the next two years, with a series of work-in-progress showings in Adelaide planned through 2017.
Together and separately the works explore experimental dance practices, solo portraits of compelling women, feminist and queer themes, creative explorations of the transformative role of artists themselves, and collaborations across South Australia and Australian artists and communities.
Near and Far was an exhibition of live artworks exploring distance, time, communication and personal agency. This exhibition took place during 16–20 October, 2015 at the Queen's Playhouse.
